The most famous tale of fantasy since years, “Aladdin” is not only loved by kids but even people of all ages. But the movie “Aladdin” based on this fantasy tale is sure not to be liked by even kids keep apart the elders. It is a mere waste of money, time and mind to watch this flick.

The fairy tale of Aladdin has all the features of a hit blockbuster, a genie, a magic carpet, a typical poor boy-rich girl love story and a conniving evil-doer and lots of magic! But surprisingly, the director Sujoy Ghosh fails miserably at an attempt to make one.

Sujoy Ghosh's Aladdin promises the moon, but what you get is a mere flicker. He fails desperately to bring a child in you and make you cheer and jump with his imagination touching sky. Though the blame cannot be all only on him but also the entire cast, including the talented Mr Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt, who contribute equally into making this one a sloppy-tale.

Yes, don’t be surprised to the worst performance of both till date in the flick with Amitabh Bachchan (Genie) and Sanjay Dutt (Ring Master).

The movie has no violence, nudity or obscenity. The film is a wholesome family entertainer with stars like Ritiesh Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Big B and Sanjay Dutt as said earlier. The music is also not so good but still can do.

The poor make-up of Amitabh sucks through out the movie and the wigs and poor facial get-up adds to the misery while you will be totally lost after looking at his costumes. As for Sanjay Dutt, he seems to be too laidback and ends up giving a dud of a performance. Left are Riteish and Jacqueline with way behind left all chemistry and performance, their expressions will make you nuts for sure.

The film is about Aladin Chatterjee (Riteish ) who lives in the city of Khwaish, Aladin is an orphan who has been troubled since his childwood by Kasim and his gang. He is often laughed and bullied by his peers; he grows up hating his name. But suddenly everything changes with a storm when in collage Jasmine (Jacqueline), gifts him a lamp on his birthday. The lamp invokes the genie that will fulfill its master’s three wishes, same as the story Aladdin. 

The Genie is Desperate to grant Aladin 3 wishes and want to end of his contract with the Magic Lamp, the Genius makes Aladin’s life difficult until the real threat looms on the horizon, the ex-genie Ringmaster (Sanjay Dutt) resurface and want to kill Aladin. Than comes lots of twists and turns in drama. 

The question arises, “What is the dark secret about Aladin’s past that Genius is carrying?” and “Why does Ringmaster want to kill Aladin?”

To know the secret watch the flick, but keep aside your mind while watching than you might enjoy it!
