With rising demands of the premium segment bikes in India, Leading racing-inspired motorcycles manufacturer Ducati Motors has announced the opening of its first showroom in the Indian market in partnership with Precision Motor India Private Limited in Mumbai.
According to a top company official, Ducati expects 100 units of its bikes sold in the Indian market in next one year’s time just after its operations begun.
Ducati Motor Holding's Vice President (Sales), Christiano Silie, told, “We anticipate (selling) around 100 units from India. However, as the Indian market develops faster than any one expects, we are optimistic and hope to do more than that”.
Ducati plans to open similar showrooms in six other major cities by early next year like the one opened in Mumbai.
Delhi is next on the agenda with the location most likely to be Gurgaon. Ducati is not only expanding in Inddia but has international target including countries like China, Brazil and some other markets in South-East Asia.
