Yamaha Motors India, two-wheeler maker on Monday revealed that the company has seen a 44.40 per cent rise in sales in October. The sales have jumped at 26,879 units, on positive consumer confidence and recent launches.
Yamaha Motors said in a statement, the company had sold 18,614 units in the same month last year, India.
Expressing his pleasure over the increase in sales, Mr. Yukimine Tsuji, CEO & MD, India Yamaha Motor, said, “Yamaha has continued to record good sales growth since January this year, which is testimony to the fact that our efforts, even during the financial crisis, to re-establish Yamaha’s brand image and regain the trust of our consumers are in the right direction. FZ16, Fazer & R15, have received overwhelming consumer response ever since their launch and the same is the case with the new limited editions of the FZS, FZ16 & Fazer. We had also introduced the “Win Win Win” campaign to increase showroom traffic during the festival season. All these factors helped us drive in top gear and achieve a remarkable growth in October” Mr. Tsuji added.
India Yamaha Motor, however, is not satisfied only with its rising sales. It also wants to project itself as a global brand among the Indian consumers. No wonder, in a bid to re-establish the global Yamaha image in India, Yamaha has recently kick-started YES! YAMAHA campaign in India.
“Our YES! YAMAHA campaign is a step towards giving value to the customer that he demands and provide the Best 3S Experience (Sales, Service & Spares) to the customer so that he always appreciates Yamaha and accepts the brand like the word “YES”. Now onwards, all our efforts and activities will revolve around the YES! YAMAHA concept, whether it’s Products, Service & Spares, Promotion and Dealers,” says Mr. Tsuji, talking about the YES! YAMAHA campaign.
As part of its Yes! Yamaha campaign, Yamaha has introduced the unique concept of Yamaha Bike Station (YBS), an authorized Yamaha Dealership with the Best 3S facility - Best Showroom, Best Service Facility and Genuine Parts. A dealership has to go through rigorous 3S evaluation, to become YBS.
