Over one lakh units - Highest ever sales in the company's history

For the first time, car market leader Maruti Suzuki India Limited has sold over one lakh units in a month. The Company’s total sales were 102,175 units in May 2010. This included 12,134 units of exports.

The previous highest in total monthly sales was 96,650 units, sold in February 2010.

The company had sold a total of 79,872 vehicles in May 2009.

In May 2010, the company sold 90,041 units in the domestic market, up 27.2 per cent over corresponding month last year. This is the highest ever domestic sales in a month. The previous highest monthly domestic sale was 84,765 units, in February 2010.

The company registered highest ever domestic sales in A2, A3 and C segments respectively.
