Mahindra Two Wheelers, a part of the US $7.1 billion Mahindra Group, today announced that its sales for the month of May 2010 stood at 8037 units, as against 2193 units in May 2009, an increase of 266%. The YTD growth stands at 348%.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anoop Mathur, Sector President and Member of the Group Executive Board, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “Our products have met with excellent success and have been well received in the market. Mahindra Two-Wheeler’s innovative strategy in creating the niche Power Scooters segment has stood it in good stead and has been an able differentiator in a cluttered scooter market.”
The Mahindra Rodeo with its very innovative, contemporary features is popular amongst the Indian youth, while the Mahindra Duro is positioned as a family scooter. The Flyte is the Indian woman’s two-wheeler of choice.
