Canon launches ‘Elite Circle’ program to strengthen channel networks

Canon India Pvt. Limited, India’s No 1. Complete Digital Imaging Company recently launched the “Elite Circle” program for its top 16 partners at Hotel Aman in New Delhi. Through the program Canon aims to build business capabilities of its best partners to further strengthen Canon’s business and broaden delivery systems. The program kicked off with a 2-day leadership workshop to help dealers adapt to industry best practices and align their business goals with Canon’s plans for India.

Canon classifies all its partners into Silver, Gold and Platinum categories and the top 5 partners Platinum Partners for each business division – ICP (Camera), CSP (Printer) and BIS (Copier) are part of the “Elite Circle”.  These partners are the engines for Canon’s growth and are constantly enhancing Canon’s brand and image equity with their efforts and initiatives. The leadership workshop, conducted from 6th- 9th July 2010, focused on sharing of Canon's practices with this elite group of partners across various functions of finance, HR, logistics, service etc. The training also included enhancing skills on creating an organization with processes and investment. It concluded with a 3 year mid term projection by each one of the partners on their Canon business. In keeping with the exclusivity of "Elite Circle", this special workshop was organized in the most luxurious property in India - Hotel Aman, New Delhi. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kensaku Konishi, President & CEO Canon India, said, “Canon rides on the successes of its network partners. The “Elite Circle” initiative is a reflection of Canon’s commitment in helping its partners to grow their business. The workshop is a first in a series of initiatives that Canon would roll out under “Elite Circle” for capacity building of its top partners in India.”

A crucial component of this initiative is to help our partners align their business objectives with Canon’s overall business plan thereby strengthening Canon’s business and network. “

Canon’s Elite circle in India consists of 16 members that include the top 5 partners across Canon’s Business Information Systems (BIS), Imaging Communication Products (ICP) and Consumer Systems Products (CSP) businesses. These partners contribute over one third of Canon India's revenues. The criteria for qualification to be a member of the Elite circle is over 5 cr annual business in BIS, over 10 cr annual business in ICP, and, over 8 cr annual business in CSP divisions respectively.
