Sony Electronics Asia Pacific announces the new stylish and captivating Jienne range of in-ear headphones, the MDR-EX40LP and MDR-EX80LP. The headphones are designed for fashionably chic consumers in mind and available in a variety of enthralling colours for everyday use. Users can now coordinate their headphones with their wardrobe, as the new Jienne range is available in more than 20 stunning shades, featuring luxurious lamé cords for the MDR-EX80LP and colour cords for the MDR-EX40LP.

The sophisticated MDR-EX80LP headphones, made with SWAROVSKI ZIRCONIA gems, are available in six chic colours (Baby Pink, Citrus Green, Shiny Silver, Pink Gold, Aqua Blue and Classic Gold) and make a classy fashion statement; while six other colours in the MDR-EX80LP series feature an elegant crystal cut set to look like a pair of rich, bejewelled earrings (Rose Pink, Maroon Brown, Cerulean Blue, Dark Violet, Scarlet Red and Onyx Black).

For the cute and quirky, the candy coloured MDR-EX40LP range offers a cheery design in 12 deliciously layered shades, completed with matching coloured cord and earbuds in bright pop colours – Marine Blue, Pastel Blue, Lime Green, Mint Green, Passion Pink, Peach Pink, Bright Orange, Wine Violet, Spicy Red, Deep Violet, Silky White and Lemon Yellow.

“Sony is committed to delivering an unparalleled audio experience with style,” says Mr. Sydney Lee, Assistant General Manager, Personal Audio Marketing, Sony Electronics Asia Pacific. “We have developed a wide colour palette and design emphasis for the new Jienne range of in-ear headphones, so that users have a wide range of options to choose from.”

The MDR-EX40LP and MDR-EX80LP are not just about looks, though. Beneath their beautifully designed exteriors, the Jienne headphones hold true to the Sony tradition of providing excellent sound quality. Integrating a high density acoustic resistor, the headphones deliver powerful stereo sound with precise bass. The new range also features a uniquely angled earbud structure with interchangeable hybrid silicone rubber buds to fit all ear sizes. This allows the headphones to closely follow the contours of your ears as well as provide an intimate, custom fit for comfortable listening, even during long periods of wear.

To provide music on-the-go minus the hassle of tangled wires, the new headphones range also comes with a Y-type cord with slider for easy wire management. In addition, users can enjoy crisp, clear audio at any volume with the comfortable 9mm-sized driver units integrated in the headphones.

The new Jienne range of in-ear headphones will be available in stores from August 2010.
