Sony Bloggie Touch: Slim and Sleek Mobile HD Snap Cameras

Sony Electronics Asia Pacific debuts the Bloggie Touch, a new generation of slim and sleek mobile HD snap cameras that make it fun and easy to capture and share Full HD (1920x1080) video clips, 360-degree panoramic shots and 12-megapixel photos online. The portable Bloggie Touch lets users capture movies fuss-free in both landscape and portrait formats, recording approximately 4 hours of HD videos and photos on its 8GB internal memory while on the move.

Sharing movies and images online is a simple drag-and-drop affair as the Bloggie Touch features built-in USB and Bloggie software that facilitates direct upload of video clips and photos to social networks such as YouTube and Facebook. Available in a choice of vibrant pink, blue, silver and black aluminium finishes, the Bloggie Touch is a stylishly slim pocket companion for day-trips, weekend breaks or fun-filled night outs.

Experience free-style shooting of Full HD movies and vivid photos
Moving away from convention, users can enjoy free-style shooting on the Bloggie Touch as the snap camera can be used horizontally or vertically to capture scenes like tall buildings or landscapes on vacation. Ensuring seamless operation for users during shooting, displayed menu items will automatically re-orientate on the large 3-inch LCD touchscreen and users can simply ‘touch and flick’ to navigate through its intuitive interface. In addition, the Bloggie Touch features a 360-degree clip-on lens  that records amazing 360-degree panoramic videos. With twice the resolution of its predecessor, the 360-degree lens is powered by Sony’s exclusive Exmor™ CMOS sensor.

Sony’s powerful ExmorTM CMOS sensor and bright, high quality F2.8 lens  enhances picture and video quality with clear, low noise images – even when shooting dark indoors scenes or on overcast days. The camera also features a 37mm wide-angle setting that allows photographers to capture sweeping landscapes. Focusing on subjects is made simple with the auto focus function, while Face Detection ensures that the subject’s face always remains sharp and clear. In addition, the Auto Macro mode allows users to capture close-ups of subjects, such as food or pets, up to 10cm away.

Easily share movies and pictures
Sharing favourite photos and video online is easy with the camera’s flip-out USB arm that also charges the camera’s battery. The Bloggie Touch is also pre-loaded with a Bloggie Software that launches automatically when connected to any PC, allowing users to easily view and transfer their videos and photos. The software also allows for easy uploading to social networking sites such as YouTubeTM, FacebookTM and FlickrTM. While on the move, users can tag content they want to share in advance by using the Share-It-Later function on Bloggie™ Touch for simple and easy uploads when they are next online.

Videos and photos on the Bloggie Touch can also be enjoyed on a large TV screen simply by connecting the camera to a compatible HDTV via HDMI cable, perfect for effortless sharing of photos and videos during gatherings.

The Bloggie Touch cameras MHS-TS20K and MHS-TS20 will be available in Asia Pacific from end October 2010.

The easy-to-use, good-looking Sony Bloggie Touch shoots excellent-quality video at a variety of frame rates, and captures great still images—it's our new Editors' Choice for pocket camcorders. Touch screen is great, easy to use. I have had no problems like some reviewers, the product has stayed in focus and I have had no clicking or other problems. It is has to upload to computer and share.
