Asus Makes Diwali Brighter with New Onsite Service for Notebook and Eee PCs

ASUS India is all set to make Diwali - the festival of lights - brighter and merrier for consumers with the introduction of Onsite Service for the ASUS Notebook and Eee PC range exclusively in India. This service will be offered immediately from November 1, 2010 effectively covering ASUS Notebooks and Eee PC along with accessories like battery, adaptor etc.

Consumers who reside within the 40km radius of the nearest ASUS service center in 54 major Tier I and II cities across India can now avail Onsite Service for no extra charge. With the introduction of this facility, consumers can save valuable time and resources by simply getting an ASUS service engineer to take care of their Notebook and Eee PC servicing needs at the comforts of their homes. Additionally, Diwali will be much more enjoyable for consumers as ASUS will extend the warranty cover of batteries for any Eee PCs brought on or after November 1, 2010 to 1 year from the existing period of 6 months for free!

The introduction of this Onsite Support and Service facility promises to make lives of consumers easier as they just have to call up on the toll free number at 1800-2090-365 and a service engineer will visit their premises within 1 business day. If the system has a genuine hardware issue, then the engineer will revisit the customer with the required spare part and resolve the query. To ensure complete satisfaction, ASUS will proactively call back the customer within a week of call resolution & derive feedback and suggestions thus helping to further streamline the process.

Speaking about the Onsite Service, newly appointed General Manager for Service at ASUS India - Mr. Jason Hsu said, "India has always been a very important market for ASUS and we wanted to reaffirm our commitment here towards providing the same level of global expertise and support for our high quality Notebooks and Eee PCs / Netbooks with the introduction of the Onsite Service. The introduction of this service is perhaps the best way for me to start my stint in India and we are ready to help consumers celebrate Diwali early by offering a slew of special benefits in the form of this service. We will continue to increase the range of products along with the number of cities to be covered in the Onsite Service facility gradually and raise the level of service to the next level."

Speaking about the Onsite Support facility - Mr. Alex Huang - Country Manager for System Business at ASUS India said, "ASUS is renowned globally for the high quality of its Notebooks and Eee PC's and we wanted to ensure that our Indian customers are also benefited by the high quality assurance and service commitment for our system range of products. As an extension of the Onsite service facility, we have also increased the warranty period for the battery of Eee PC's purchased by customers after November 1, 2010. Also our existing support functions like Tele-support for system business and DOA policy will continue to work in tandem with this service. In fact consumers can also avail the benefit of extended warranty by up to 2 years if they choose to purchase our WEP service (Warranty Extension Pack) from an ASUS authorized dealer/distributor within 180 days of their purchase of their Notebooks or Eee PC."
