If you are confused which one to pick in the crowded laptop market, Sony India has come up with a solution!! Sony India has launched the all new VAIO YB range of laptops in India, which offer more performance muscle compared to a regular netbook. It is a lightweight and easy to carry laptop series.

The new Vaio YB range of notebooks is based on AMD Vision CPU and GPU platforms. The USP of the Vaio YB series is that they are thin and light. With the launch of the Vaio YB range Sony has become the fourth PC vendor in the country to launch 11.6-inch notebooks.

Sporting a 11.6-inch display and weighs 1.46-kg with a standard six-cell battery, the Vaio YB will face competition with Lenovo, Toshiba and Dell which are already have models on the new platform. The new series will be available in three dazzling colors including pink, silver and green.

Besides, the laptops in the series come packed in with some of the useful proprietary software you see on larger VAIO laptops. The entry-level model comes with the AMD E-350 1.6GHz processor with Radeon HD 6310 graphics. It supports up to 4GB RAM, and ships with 500GB HDD.

The slim VAIO laptop sports characteristic isolation keyboard for typing comfort and comes with a gesture-enabled touchpad. It is also equipped with ASSIST button, which offers instant access to VAIO Care, VAIO original software.

The laptop also enables users to enjoy smooth and facile high-definition contents playback, faster Internet operation and finer online gaming experience.

Sony Vaio YB Laptops Price in India: The new range will be available from February 2011 onwards at a price tag starting Rs. 26,990 plus taxes. It will be available across all Sony Centers and major large format outlets.
