Finally, a formal launch of the Ford Fiesta for India, a follow up to its unveiling at the capital previously. The event held at Grand Hyatt Mumbai, showcases the Ford Kinetic Design philosophy, and marks the global launch of its new engines too. Available as diesel, and petrol variants, the 1.5 liter petrol Duratec Ti VCT engine records max power of 110PS at 6045 rpm, and max torque at 140 Nm at 4500 rpm, while the 1.5 ltr diesel TDCi Duratorq engine records max power of 91PS at 3750 rpm, and max torque at 204 Nm between 2000 and 2750 rpm brings new levels of technology and performance in this segment.
The Ford team has worked towards greater handling, noise level reduction through front windshield acoustic lamination, and inclusion of sound absorbent materials in the interior. Clearly following the ‘One Ford’ ethic, it’s global Fiesta, a global car with nuances that best support demands of the Indian terrain with no purposeful stripping. The new Ford Fiesta has met with success in Europe and North America. Safety features include EBD, and ABS, as well as air bags across all models.

The Ford Fiesta Titanium petrol will cost Rs 917,200 whereas the Ford Fiesta Titanium diesel will cost Rs. 1, 017,200. The costliest of the new Ford Fiesta’s for India see the Ford Fiesta Titanium+ petrol cost Rs. 942,200 and the Ford Fiesta Titanium+ diesel costs Rs. 1,042,200.
