The first and only Marathi film to screen on 100 UFO digital theatres in 2011 is Mahesh Manjrekar-produced Marathi film 'Faqta Ladh Mhana' (Source: www.ufomoviez.com) during the first week of release; viz., August 4-11. Only 2 other Marathi films last year- Paaaradh (in August 2010), 'Ideachi Kalpana' (in December 2010) - in 2009 and 2010 screened on 100 plus UFO Digital Cinema. UFO Moviez has helped increase the number of Marathi film playing theatres from 59 in 2006 to 290 in 2010 and 272 as of August 5, 2011. In 2007-2008, there is a significant jump in Marathi playing theatres on UFO Digital systems. The number of Marathi film releases on UFO digital system has increased from 11 in 2006 to 68 in 2010 and 41 as of August 5, 2011. A grand total of 206 Marathi films have been released on the UFO Digital system as of August 5, 2011.
